Vision Statement:
To create an authentic place to grow in Christ
Founded on the passage of Scripture from John 15:1-17, abide Church Jbay exists to create an authentic place to grow in Christ. As non-denominational, evangelical church, with a focus on encountering the presence of God through worship, Bible-centred teaching and discipleship empowered by the Holy Spirit, we believe in this call from God for Jbay and beyond. Pastor’s Lloyd and Kelly Dillon are passionate about what God has done, what He is doing and what He still will do in and through the incredible community of believers that call abide church home. It is when the church shifts from consumerism to contribution that the true purpose of gathering as the body of Christ is revealed, and abide church seeks to fulfil this purpose by worshipping God, equipping the saints and reaching the world. With ministry opportunities for the whole family, both on Sundays and midweek, we invite you to partner with us as we create an authentic place to grow in Christ together.
5 pillars of the culture at abide church:
Humility – Philippians 2:3
Honour – 1 Peter 2:17
Initiative – Ephesians 5:15-16
Compassion – Matthew 9:36
Joy – Psalm 16:11
We believe our giving is an act of worship, obedience and overflow from the exceeding grace and generosity we have received from God in Christ. His generosity leads us to live generously. The collective sowing into God’s kingdom financially as the church is God’s design and ultimately for His glory.
2 Cor 9: 10-11 He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.
